Hezbut Tawheed organized a massive public rally in Kushtia on Thursday under the theme “National Unity is the Only Alternative to End Global Muslim Persecution.” The event was headlined by the movement's supreme leader, Honorable Imam Hossain Mohammad Salim, who delivered the keynote address.

In his speech, Imam Salim warned, “If war breaks out in Bangladesh, our fate may mirror that of the Muslims in Gaza. To prevent such a scenario, we must overcome sectarianism, internal conflict, and divisive ideologies by uniting as one nation under the command of Allah.”

He further stated, “For centuries, Muslims have been oppressed globally, and this persecution has now reached an extreme. Fragmented and disunited, the Muslim world has been unable to stop this oppression. Only by building unity as strong as a wall, as commanded by Allah, can we achieve freedom and justice.”

Addressing the growing instability in South Asia, he remarked, “Incidents like the Pahalgam attack, the Rohingya crisis in Rakhine, and recent regional tensions have created an atmosphere of fear across Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. Islam and Muslims are being targeted in political and religious discourses.”

Imam Salim described Hezbut Tawheed as a law-abiding, non-political movement that has spent the past 30 years striving to promote peace by presenting the true, rational, and humanitarian interpretation of Islam. “We are countering the misinterpretations of extremists and have suffered for it—facing over 500 attacks, the killing of five members, and the destruction of homes,” he said.

“At a time when the world is lost in the chaos of terrorism, communal violence, imperialist aggression, and the misuse of religion, the rational ideology of Hezbut Tawheed, based on the teachings of the Last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), offers the only way forward,” he emphasized.

In a message to the government, he said, “We have presented a logical and balanced proposal. Our gatherings, seminars, and publications fall within constitutional and human rights, yet our rights have repeatedly been violated.”

To the people of Bangladesh, he urged, “Learn about Hezbut Tawheed, understand our mission and ideals. We believe our efforts can play a significant role in combating international unrest and communal conflicts.”

The event was chaired by Akkas Ali, President of Hezbut Tawheed’s Kushtia District Committee. Special guests included Md. Nizam Uddin (Central Coordinator), Rufaydah Panni (Central Women's Affairs Secretary), Md. Tanvir Ahmed (Khulna Divisional President), Dr. Mahbub Alam Mahfuz (Dhaka Divisional President), Md. Jaseb Uddin (President of Kushtia Region), Shamsuzzaman Milon (President of Khulna Region), Motaleb Khan (Central Agriculture Secretary), Shariful Islam (Labor and Employment Secretary), and Jerin Sayara (Khulna Divisional Women’s Affairs Secretary).

Mizanur Rahman Majnu, President of Hezbut Tawheed’s Veramara Upazila Unit, was also present.

Even before the event began, a large crowd had already gathered. Enthusiastic attendees marched with banners and slogans such as “One Nation, One Country—United Bangladesh,” “Stop Genocide in Gaza,” and “Why the Attacks on Palestine? UN Must Answer.” Thousands of people from nearby districts traveled by bus and train to attend, transforming the venue into a sea of people.

Ildrim Media and Dainik Desherpatra served as the event's official media partners.
