Hezbut Tawheed organized a women's conference on Saturday morning at the Tarek Smriti Auditorium in Mymensingh. The conference was attended by Imam Hossain Mohammad Salim, the top leader of Hezbut Tawheed, as the chief guest. Rufaida Panni, Joint General Secretary of the organization and Head of its Women's Affairs Department, attended as a special guest.
Speakers at the conference said that confining women in the name of religion, as is happening today, does not reflect the true teachings of Islam. They emphasized that Islam came not to confine women but to liberate them. They also noted that during the golden age of Islam, women participated in various social and state activities according to their abilities and skills.
The speakers further stated that Western civilization has failed to establish women's rights. In their view, materialistic civilization has long treated women as commodities. They stressed the importance of establishing the true ideals of Islam to ensure women's genuine rights, dignity, and freedom.
The conference was presided over by Samia Akter Dolly, Women's Affairs Secretary of Hezbut Tawheed's Mymensingh District Committee. Also present were Nizam Uddin, Central General Secretary of the organization; Khadija Khatun, Adviser; Enamul Haque Bappa, Divisional President; and Rozina Akter, former Divisional Women's Affairs Secretary, along with other leaders of the organization.
