Clear Message from Hezbut Tawheed’s Workers’ Conference in Tangail

December 6, 2025 – Tangail District Shilpakala Academy auditorium was filled to capacity long before the programme began. Thousands of men and women from across the district gathered with a single purpose: to hear the root cause of the nation’s present crisis and its only real solution. On the stage sat the Imam of Hezbut Tawheed, Hossain Mohammad Selim. From his lips came the words that must now reach every home of the Muslim Ummah.

“La Ilaha Illallah” Is Not Just a Phrase – It Is a Binding Contract with Allah

The Imam declared: “‘La ilaha illallah’ is not merely a sentence. It is a bilateral contract between Allah and His servant. Its plain meaning is: I will not accept the command, law, or legislation of anyone except Allah. In exchange for this one pledge, Allah forgives all sins of the servant. Today we follow some of Allah’s commands in our personal lives, but in national and state life we still follow the laws and systems left behind by British colonial rulers. We recite the Kalima with our tongues, but we do not implement it in reality.”

In these words lies the diagnosis of the greatest crisis facing the Muslim nation today. We perform Salah, fast, perform Hajj – but the core pillar of Iman, establishing Allah’s sovereignty in state and society, we have abandoned that responsibility.

The Real Reason Behind the Humiliation of the Muslim Ummah

Drawing a picture of the current global situation, the Imam said: “Why is the Muslim Ummah humiliated today? Why is it oppressed? Why is it drowning in poverty and deprivation? There is only one answer – we have abandoned Allah’s Khilafah and true Iman. The Prophet (ﷺ) foretold that a time will come when only the name of Islam will remain, and only the script of the Qur’an will remain. We are living in that exact era today. Mosques are glittering with marble and air-conditioning, but guidance has vanished from them. Guidance means refusing to obey anyone except Allah.”

The Complete Failure of Man-Made Systems

Highlighting the daily suffering of common people, he continued: “Nearly 80 years have passed since the British left, yet we have not attained true freedom. Politics, economy, education policy, law and courts – everything still runs on the system they left behind. The nation is trapped in a debt web of 21 lakh crore taka because of interest-based economics. In the name of democracy we are repeatedly deceived with the carrot of votes. Administration, judiciary, law enforcement – nowhere do people find peace or security. The man-made system has proven itself completely bankrupt.”

The Only Solution: Establishing Allah’s Deen

He made it crystal clear: “If we want peace, mere longing is not enough. We must plant and nurture the seed of peace. Islam means peace. And to establish that peace, the complete way of life given by Allah must be implemented in state and society. Allah commanded ‘Aqimuddin’ – establish the Deen. The Prophet (ﷺ) and his Companions did not stop at personal worship; through unparalleled sacrifice and struggle they established the Deen. That is why peace descended upon the Jahili Arabian society of that time. Today we have forgotten that struggle.”

Call to the Ulama and All Sects

Extending his hand to scholars and all groups, he urged: “You possess knowledge, and people respect you. Do not waste your intellect and energy arguing over minor fiqh differences. At least unite on the issue of establishing Allah’s law. Whichever school of thought or sect you belong to, stand together on this greatest mission – establishing Allah’s Deen.”

Proposed National Referendum

Outlining the practical path forward, he said: “Many referendums have been held in this country on various issues, but none solved the root problem. This time let there be a referendum on one question only: ‘Do we want Allah’s law, or do we want man-made law?’ In a country where 90% are Muslims, this is our democratic right.”

The Oath of Thousands

At the end of the speech, thousands of workers and supporters raised clenched fists and took a thunderous oath: “We will no longer accept man-made laws; we will no longer remain slaves of men. We will accept only Allah’s law and remain slaves only to Him.”

The entire hall reverberated with slogans: “Food, clothing, shelter – only Islam can provide!” “The address of Jannah: La ilaha illallah!”

After an emotional Munajat seeking deliverance from the nation’s critical crisis and the welfare of all humanity, thousands left the venue with tears in their eyes, carrying a new conviction in their hearts and determination on their faces – the firm resolve to establish Allah’s law on Allah’s earth.

This conference was not merely an event. It was a wake-up call to the conscience of an entire nation. The message is unmistakable: until Allah’s law is established in state and society, there will be neither peace nor liberation.

The only charter of the nation’s liberation is Allah’s law. The time has come to make that charter effective.
