Hezbut Tawheed Hosts Seminar on ‘The Role of Islam in State Reform’Dhaka, September 21, 2024—Hezbut Tawheed organized a seminar titled ‘The Role of Islam in State Reform’ at the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) auditorium in Dhaka at 10:00 AM on Saturday.
The event, presided over by Dr. Mahbub Alam Mahfuz, Dhaka Divisional Ameer of Hezbut Tawheed, featured the Honorable Imam Hossain Mohammad Salim, the supreme leader of the movement, as the keynote speaker.In his address, the Honorable Imam emphasized the necessity for systemic transformation, stating, "It's a positive sign that many, including the interim government, are now considering reform. We have long advocated for changing the flawed system that has failed us for centuries." He reiterated that true reform is only possible by implementing the divine system of Deen, which encompasses all aspects of life, including family, society, and state governance.The Honorable Imam criticized ongoing mob justice, calling it a deviation from Islam’s teachings. He warned, "If these violent activities continue, the opportunity for establishing Islam’s true principles will be lost forever." He also expressed concern over the growing global Islamophobia and negative portrayal of Islam in international media, urging Islamic groups to act with restraint and adhere to the peaceful principles of the religion.
Women Secretary Rufayhah Panni and Health and Medical Secretary Ummut Tijaan Makhduma Panni also delivered speeches, in English and Hindi, respectively. They condemned the threats and attacks against Hezbut Tawheed and called upon the United Nations and other human rights organizations to ensure the safety of its members.Hezbut Tawheed spokesperson Md. Moshiour Rahman, Central Information Secretary S.M. Shamsul Huda, and Central Literary Secretary Riyadul Hasan also spoke at the event, sharing their personal experiences under the leadership of the Honorable Imam Hossain Mohammad Salim and highlighting his guidance in the movement’s endeavors.
