The reform proposal of Hezbut Tawheed serves as the blueprint for the nation’s liberation, stated Hezbut Tawheed’s supreme leader, Hossain Mohammad Salim.

"Our state system is built upon the colonial framework established by the British. As a consequence of this inherent structural flaw, we are encountering numerous challenges. While various efforts are being made to address these issues, the root cause remains unaddressed. It is imperative to rectify the foundation itself. The governance system must be established upon the commandments of Allah; otherwise, no amount of reform will lead to the true emancipation of the nation."

He made these remarks as the chief guest at a discussion titled "The Proposed Governance System of Hezbut Tawheed", held at IDEB in the capital on Tuesday (January 21) at 10 AM.

He said, “What we are practicing here in the name of politics is a flawed system, a misguided structure. Neither has Allah commanded us to engage in this form of politics nor did His Messenger Mohammad (PBUH) teach us this. The Western world has imposed this system upon us.”

“This deceitful and manipulative politics, instilled by the West, has led the innocent people of this nation astray. Honest individuals become cunning, well-mannered youths turn into criminals, and juvenile gangs emerge. The educated become corrupt. Those who once possessed mere lakhs accumulate hundreds of crores. And those who strive to remain virtuous eventually get lost amidst the overwhelming corruption.”

Hossain Mohammad Salim further stated, “It is not just politics—our administration, judiciary, and other sectors still operate within the colonial framework established by the British. Therefore, structural reforms alone will not suffice; a complete transformation of the system is essential.”

The leader of Hezbut Tawheed stated, “The foundation of the constitution should be based on the commandments of Allah, and laws should be enacted in alignment with the Qur’an.”

He further explained that revolution means a fundamental transformation. “The revolution of students and the masses will only be successful if it brings about a fundamental change. If no such transformation occurs, the revolution will be in vain. The true success of a revolution can only be achieved by establishing the divine system ordained by Allah.”

Proposing an interest-free economic system as prescribed by Allah, he stated that the current capitalist structure has created economic disparity in society. He emphasized that conducting business based on profit and loss, rather than exploitative interest-based systems, would establish a fair and just economic balance.

He also proposed a comprehensive reform of the education system. Highlighting the flaws in the existing multi-stream education system, he advocated for a unified education system. He stressed the need to integrate madrasa and general education while incorporating technical education, moral and ethical studies, religious teachings, as well as science and technology education.

He claimed that Hezbut Tawheed’s proposals are highly practical and compatible with modern society. He expressed hope that if the government adopts these proposals, the aspirations and expectations of the people of the country will be fully realized.

The event was presided over by Dr. Mahbub Alam Mahfuz, Dhaka Divisional President of Hezbut Tawheed. Special guests who delivered speeches included Hezbut Tawheed’s Central Women’s Secretary Rufaidah Panni, Information Secretary S.M. Shamsul Huda, Literature Secretary Riyadul Hasan, Joint Central Women’s Affairs Secretary Ayesha Siddika, Dhaka Divisional Vice President Al Amin Sabuj, and Mirpur Thana President Abdul Haq Babul, among others.

Speakers at the event stated that the government, which was entrusted with the responsibility of the nation with great hope, is already facing criticism on various issues. They warned that this criticism will only intensify over time because the existing system itself is flawed. "Our governance structure is inherently corrupt and decayed. No matter who assumes state power—regardless of their education, integrity, religious values, or honesty—this flawed system will also consume them. From post-independence Bangladesh to the present day, the failure of every government stems from this fundamental issue," they remarked.

The speakers emphasized that merely changing the ruling authority will not bring solutions; rather, the entire system must be replaced with the divine governance system ordained by Allah.

The closing speech of the event was delivered by Dhaka Metropolitan Office Secretary Taslim Uddin.
